Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro Samsung is making the display for the phone, the leaked feature
Tech giant Google's 'next generation' smartphone series Pixel 7 is rumoured to be launching soon. But before the official launch, information about the displays of Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones under this upcoming flagship series has been leaked online. According to a recent leak, the successor models will have the same display features as last year's Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models. The US-based multinational teased the latest Pixel-series handsets at its annual Google I / O developer conference earlier this month.
The upcoming model will come with an updated Tensor chipset and the latest Android 12 operating system, the tech giant said. Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are expected to launch in the third quarter of this year.
Google Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro display information leaked
According to the code of the 'Android Open Source Project' (AOSP) identified by 9to5Google, the two upcoming Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones will come with displays made by Samsung similar to the existing Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models, respectively. In this case, the display driver of the Pixel 7 with the codename Cheetah has been tagged as C10 and the Pixel 7 Pro driver with the codename Panther has been renamed as P10. Both files list a number of key specifications for the upcoming handset, the report said.
Before the launch, the specifications of Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro phones were leaked
Like the predecessor Pixel 7 smartphone, the upcoming Pixel 6 handset is said to have a Full HD Plus (1,060x2,400 pixels) display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The AOSP code indicates the use of the Samsung S6E3FC3 panel in that phone. However, although the specifications of the display are similar, the screen size of the upcoming phone will be slightly smaller than the predecessor, the report said. In that case, the display height and width of the Pixel 6 phone may be less than 2mm and 1mm respectively from the Pixel 7 model.
On the other hand, the Pixel 6 Pro smartphone will have the same display features as the Pixel 7 Pro phone that debuted in 2021. For example, it will have a QHD + (1,440x3,120 pixels) display, which will support a 120 Hz refresh rate. According to Google Driver, it will use a Samsung S6E3HC3 panel. And it is known that the Pro model will offer the same screen size as the predecessor.
The Pixel 7 Pro phone's display driver file also reveals that this high-end model will be able to display content in 1,060-pixel mode through a recently marked setting of the latest Android 13 operating system. However, the 'viewing experience' of the smartphone may be a bit downgraded for this. However, the OS feature can help save battery life. Which is what other smartphones with high-resolution displays also offer.
However, tech giant Google has not yet officially released the full specifications of their upcoming Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones. However, we expect to know a few more key features before the expected launch of the Pixel 6 series later this year.
